378 programme covers added

I’ve got an ambition to upload a scan of the cover for every match programme I have in the collection.

It’s a big task and I think it’s going to take a long while to finish.

However, I’ve made a good start over the last few weeks. I have now added 378 different programmes to this site.

Rather than add lots of random games from different seasons, I’ve started from the current season and I’m working backwards. I’ve just finished adding the 2015/16 season to the site.

It’s easy to get distracted when I’m working on this task. There’s quite a few programmes here I’ve not seen for a while and it’s a lot of fun re-reading them and remembering the matches and the results.

I’m looking forward to adding the next batch which will include the 2015 Play-off final and those great games against Ipswich to get to Wembley.

p.s.

the image above is the programme cover from the 2015/16 pre-season friendly against West Ham United. It was a special game to mark the 80th anniversary of Carrow Road. Norwich lost 1-0 but it was a great occasion regardless of the result. The cover scan shown above was a re-print of the very first programme cover from the first league game at Carrow Road.

I’ve also got Cameron Jerome’s match worn number 10 shirt from that pre-season friendly game too. That’s a great shirt with a special “There’s no place like home” patch on the front and “80 Years” on each number on the back.
